I am currently attempting a rebuild in my 1993 geo metro LSI convertible. I bought it with over 100k miles on it, and it was running i guess decent at the time. Then over time the motor started to idle really rough, and i just kept on driving it.
Long story short i have a burnt exhaust valve on cylinder 1. heres some pictures which are fun to look at, especially if you have the same motor.

this was the cause of the bad cylinder. burnt exhaust valve.

the cylinder w/o carbon was the weak cylinder, the fuel/oil kept it washed. It was also brought to my attention that, the carbon should be even over the whole cylinder. cylinder 2 and 3's rings are gone you can tell because they arent covered in carbon.

this is a really fun first time rebuild for me. simple and small! (one person can lift out the motor with their hands)

its soo tiny!!

accidentally fell off the workbench.. whoops.

view from the hubble. you can see the svt too!!
