IN my past, I worked for a marina and did alot of installing of gear on fiberglass boats. ALL mounting points were in areas that had been reinforced with wood in the manufacturing process. I would not mount them in the in a fiberglass hardtop because of stress, plus you would have to unplug them to take your top off.
