you've been busy.
that extra wire in EGR is california egr thermo probe, just wire it in a loop and safe it off
it is useless to you, but no harm either.

now code 51 can be hard to clear.
if EGR mod valve is bad or there is no exhaust back pressure and CAT is missing or rodded out.
the nipple on top of the EGR main valve that goes to EGR mod valve is very tiny
there is 1/16 inch oriface there,that plugs easy.
the EGR has a VSV valve up front the opens about 2500 rpm.
the EGR passes thru a board hole in the rear of head, this boring can clog easy.
getting EGR to clear can be a pain.
if it sticks open that is the worse, if it is closed and failing , less issues driving.
