I started riding when I was 7, that was 40 years ago. Last year I finished 9th at Daytona. I normally fininish in the top 10. I don't think that's to bad against all the younger guys!
It's a bad addicition, and I see not end in sight. motorcycles, cars and truck, and airplanes are what I spend my time and money on. My last dirt bike was a Husky WR 500. i had to get rid of it before it killed me! Somehow I feel safer on a roadrace track at 160 mph than I do on the dirt!
I race with the MRA (Motorcycle Roadracing Association) and with AHRMA (American Historic Roacing Motorcycle Association) . I'm also chief mechanic for an AMA Pro roadracing team.
It looks like after I fix up this tracker I'll be adding 4-wheeling to my list of interests.
