To compare. The zuki is my wifes car. I drive a 2001 Mercedes Benz ML430 SUV. 5,500lbs, V-8, full time 4x4, and I get an average of 19 city/hwy, day in and day out. On trips, it is not uncommon to get 22-24mpg at 75mph with the cruise set. This rig is twice the size of the zuki, pulls 3 times the trailer load, has every creature comfort in the book, seats 7, and I bought it used for well less than $20k.

I do love the little Suzuki, but the fuel mileage is not acceptable.

Granted the XL-7 economy can suck - I'm averaging 13.97l/100km in city driving with my V6 5 speed auto.

Unless you guys get a different "ML430" it is actually shorter than the XL-7 - the XL-7 is 4700mm and the ML430 is 4587mm. We also only seem to get 5 seater ML430's here? The fuel economy is impressive!? Towing capacity is 2650kg vs 1850kg, so not "3 times"- granted the Merc would do it a lot easier.

If they were a bit longer I'd be kicking myself right now for buying the XL-7! The specs are listed below for the Aussie versions.
