Your Grandpa's M151 series jeep was (and still is) a very capable 4x4 off road (I never managed to tip one over in 10 years of using one in the military)...but the handling really was bad on hardball roads. The Humvee was much more stable, but hard to get through the woods and was a real pig on fuel (4-6 mpg)

I saw several Samis (but not Kicks) being used by the Saudi Army during Desert Storm, but sadly, I don't have any pics
