the 1.8L is a quality thing, chain driven cam . Nice rig, if I wanted a DD , that is what id get, but mine is for local and offroad only uses or if a cold snap hits.

Nothing wrong with 16v tbelt just respect it and change it when due.
the wrecking yards of full of 16V's with bad belts and blown engines.

so if you blow yours, the spares are blown too. nice mix.

I cant wait for the new tough Tbelts come out, HSC or some such name.
rumor is 2 times , life, ( nice idea , late coming)


Are saying that if the 8v engine belt flies off while driving that you won't bend valves?? This is my first 8v engine, so forgive the seemingly silly questions,John
