And in response to glass-packs, I actually have a cherry bomb and a flowtech "red hots" glass-pack muffler. They are both the same length, diameter, and color. Additionally, they both are made of thick steel, so I seriously doubt that any hypothetical manual hammer could shatter either one of them. And as for the fiberglass material, it's not the same form of glass that we use everyday. Instead, it's tiny glass particles that are woven into a wool-like matter, and is used to absorb/dampen the sound waves. And even this fiberglass material is embedded between the outer steel shell of the resonator and the perforated inner-barrel of the muffler. I think what you've heard was either from a misinformed individual or maybe an event that occurred with an older design glass-pack. But thanks anyway for looking out!
