And as for the fiberglass material, it's not the same form of glass that we use everyday. Instead, it's tiny glass particles that are woven into a wool-like matter, and is used to absorb/dampen the sound waves. And even this fiberglass material is embedded between the outer steel shell of the resonator and the perforated inner-barrel of the muffler. I think what you've heard was either from a misinformed individual or maybe an event that occurred with an older design glass-pack.  But thanks anyway for looking out!

Must have been misinformed just thought Id say that incase you put it on and then it fell apart haha I want to see a video when this is done
