All righty, reviving a slightly older thread here...

My boyfriend's boss drives a 2004 EVO. He has spent a lot of money on mods for the car... Recently, he said he had taken it out and had hit a limit of 125mph - couldn't go any faster. Now, a year ago whilst being stupid, my boyfriend and I decided to put the pedal to the floor to see how much the car would open up. Before I told him to stop and slow down, I think we managed over 135mph?

Apparently, his boss had a guy work on his car's ECU and now he's able to push his car farther than 125mph. Out of curiosity, since our ECU has such a nice ability to adapt to new add-ons, would it be even necessary to mess with it to further tap into the car's potential?
