there is no real bolt on engine for sams from my experience . some guys forgot how much time they spend swaping an engine in such thight space and telling everybody that it a bolt on projects ! there always a bracket to modify or wiring ,exaust ,fuel supply,drive shaft,firewall clearance and so on .for my sam i put a swift twin cam 91 with some performance modifications and spend only 600$ but i did everything myself.
but that was couple of years ago . twin cams are more difficult to find these days and i wanted more performance so i swap and honda s2000 2.2 liter engine with a lot of modification . depending on your wallet and your know how you can fit any kind of four cylinder rwd engine in your sammy . i wish you good luck in your project.
