had the same problem, and it turned out to be circuit board in clock /temp display is no good , need to replace unit / or get creative, and run a new lamp, w/ a very small bulb, or led and tap wires from bulb holder into wires that feed power to lamps when park lites are on and put it into hole in back where original bulb was.
