Question about fuel tank compatibility
Gas tank compatibility question

(I have copied this question from the new members area due to lack of replies...probably a no-no!).
I have been a lurker here for some time and have found this forum to be a great source of useful information regarding maintenance and repair of these little trucks! Thank you all for the excellent help and encouragement!
The question that I have involves the following scenario:
I have a 1994 4-door 16v Sidekick that currently has a leaky gas tank (55l-14 gallons). I also have a 1991 2-door 8v Sidekickwith the 44l-11 gallon tank for parts. The question is whether the 44l tank from the 1991 will physically fit the 4-door Sidekick and whether the mounting capability is there? I have not come across any threads with this info as yet, so I'm hoping that someone might have some insight into this.
