I wouldn't suggest cutting stock springs. It's a crap shoot at best. All to often folks end up with poor ride quality, worsened handling characteristics, suspension components bottoming out, tire rub interference probs and alignment issues causing excessive tire wear. To do it right, you need to obtain the properly engineered lowering springs with progressive spring rates designed for your application AND re-align the vehicle hopefully to OEM specs (if you still can) after the spring mod.
